Getting your purchased items can happen through two means:
1. Shipping
Shipping to your delivery address
2. Pick Up
You pick up the items (if available by the seller)
Current Shipping Method
The goal is to have a flexible choice in shipping methods for sellers. Currently, to make the entire process of listing, order processing, and fulfillment work smoothly, ScrapIsGood enforces one shipping method. This is through the USPS flat rate shipping system. This makes it easy for sellers and for the initial operation of this website.
Future Expansion Plans
The goal is to expand to other flat rate shipping choices such as FedEx and UPS in the near future. We will also be expanding to include custom packaging sizes. Custom packaging will, of course, expand the size and amount of materials that can be purchased.
Please be patient while we build up to this more expanded version of the marketplace. For now, smaller sizes and quantities should hopefully fulfill the needs of most Makers and DIYers. The expanded shipping options will also make it more useful for shops themselves to be able to purchase larger items from other shops to satisfy special and immediate needs.
