Welcome to ScrapIsGood. These Terms of Use ("Terms") explain the rules for using our website and services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. What We Do

ScrapIsGood is an online marketplace that allows users to list, buy, and sell materials and related items.

We provide the platform and tools to facilitate transactions, but we are not the buyer or seller of the items listed unless explicitly stated.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to enter into legally binding agreements
• Provide accurate and truthful account information

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. Accounts & Registration

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Notify us of unauthorized account use

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.

4. Marketplace Transactions

Buyers

• Agree to review listings carefully before purchasing
• Agree to pay the listed price, applicable taxes, and shipping fees
• Agree to communicate in good faith with sellers

Sellers

• Agree to provide accurate listings
• Agree to fulfill orders as described
• Agree to follow applicable laws and regulations

All transactions are between buyers and sellers directly.

5. Fees & Payments

• A 10% platform fee is applied to all transactions
• Payments are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment provider
• We do not store full payment credentials

We are not responsible for payment processor outages or errors beyond our control.

6. User Content

Users may post content such as listings, descriptions, photos, and messages.

By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content for operating and promoting the marketplace.

You retain ownership of your content.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Circumvent platform fees or payment systems
• Harass or abuse other users
• Interfere with the operation or security of the platform

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict accounts for violations.

8. Prohibited Items

You may not list items that are illegal, stolen, restricted, or otherwise prohibited by law or platform rules.

We may remove prohibited listings without prior notice.

9. Disputes Between Users

Buyers and sellers are encouraged to resolve disputes directly.

We may, but are not obligated to:

• Review disputes
• Facilitate communication
• Take action to protect the marketplace

We are not responsible for outcomes of user-to-user disputes.

10. Refunds

Satisfaction of your purchase is very important, but also dependent on several factors:

• Your understanding of what you are purchasing
• Your communication with sellers to better understand what you are purchasing
• The seller's truthfulness in their listings and answers to questions
• The seller's thoroughness of packaging
• The shipper's quality of shipment and delivery

ScrapIsGood has no control over the truthfulness of the item descriptions, the packaging, or the shipping.

Refunds are not allowed if you decide you no longer want an item after you purchase it. This keeps website costs down.

It must be understood that by the nature of the items sold on ScrapIsGood, refunds are generally not encouraged except for extenuating circumstances, such as:

• Package not delivered
• Items damaged
• Items missing or otherwise grossly mischaracterized in their listing

It is your responsibility to document any issues.

Depending upon what the issue is, resolution can happen in more than one way:

• Shipping issue: you must resolve this with the shipper and/or seller
• Misrepresented item: you must resolve this with the seller

11. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of listings
• The quality or condition of items
• That transactions will be completed successfully

We want a safe, reliable marketplace for you to find the materials you need. Our rules help achieve this, but we cannot eliminate all the risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScrapIsGood is not liable for:

• Lost profits or business interruption
• Indirect or consequential damages
• User conduct or item defects

Our total liability will not exceed the fees paid to us in the preceding 12 months.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScrapIsGood from claims arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your listings, purchases, or sales
• Violations of these Terms or applicable law

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the platform at any time for policy violations or misuse.

You may close your account at any time, subject to completing outstanding transactions.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
